Envisage International Newsletter

Welcome to the 10th issue of the Envisage International Newsletter. We are still riding the wave of the annual NAFSA conference and now are turning our attention to session proposals for the upcoming regional conferences. Topics we’ve submitted include online marketing to international students, using social media in student recruitment, reaching Chinese students online, and a variety of insurance proposals. A special thanks to all those that are part of one or more of our proposals. If you are interested in co-presenting with us on any of the topics, please let us know.

In this issue, we will reflect on our new clients, have a Q&A with the Director of International Admissions from Concord University in Athens, WV, point out a few highlights from our loan business and as always, we update you on what upcoming conferences you can visit with us in person.

Happy Summer!
Envisage International Corporation

This Month’s Highlights
Welcome to our New Partners!

Concord University: Located in Athens, West Virginia, Concord has been named as one of Princeton Review's “Best Southeastern Colleges.” Welcome aboard Concord! We look forward to helping Concord reach its international recruiting goals. See below for a Q&A with David McKee, their Director of International Admissions.

SUNY Brockport: SUNY Brockport: We are delighted to welcome our first SUNY school and latest lead generation client. We will be providing SUNY Brockport with international student leads driven from their profile on InternationalStudent.com. With honors like "100 Best Values in Public Colleges" from Kiplinger's for four straight years, we are confident we will deliver the quality international students SUNY Brockport is looking for.

Hobsons: After a successful effort in the spring where we registered thousands of students for their last round of fairs, Envisage will again help Hobsons promote their three upcoming virtual student fairs. Hobson’s Virtual Student Fairs are a great way to connect students with colleges and universities and allow students to chat with admission representatives, chat with other students and get answers to their questions. We will be driving international attendance to the three fairs via email marketing, our newsletter, geo-targeted banners, content, and social media.

Full Sail University: Full Sail University is a unique school in Winter Park, Florida offering degrees in film, game design, recording arts and many other entertainment fields. With professional sound and film stages and graduates all over the entertainment field, we knew we could successfully promote their programs to our international student audience. To help with their promotion we recently built out an entire section on our site devoted to studying film in the US, and we are now delivering international student leads in real time to Full Sail. Take a look at the content and visit their profile on InternationalStudent.com.

ELS: ELS has more than 50 years of leadership in international education, offering the largest network of campus-based English language instruction centers in the world. We are continuing our partnership with them and marketing their language centers primarily in North America. We provide ELS with leads from a variety of sources including their Featured School profile on InternationalStudent.com and from their individual profiles on ESLdirectory.com. We are excited to continue our partnership with ELS and taking it to the next level by providing them with real-time leads fed directly into their CRM system.

For more information how you can become a Featured School or lead client, contact Wini Puglielli.

International Student Insurance
Insurance Plans for International Students

Many colleges and universities require their international students and scholars to have health insurance, but do not have the resources to put a group health insurance plan in place. International students must then find an appropriate plan to cover them. We understand the importance of knowing that your students are well covered on a high quality plan, to minimize worry when they become sick or hurt. Our Student Secure plan is an excellent and affordable individual solution that students, parents and schools can feel good about. This plan includes coverage for maternity, sports, mental health, and emergency medical evacuation/repatriation and more.

We can help facilitate the enrollment process for your students from start to finish. We offer personalized landing pages designed specifically for your school so students can purchase online – with immediate access to documents, confirmation of coverage and much more. This can tremendously reduce the school's administration of any insurance plans, ensuring that smaller schools do not have to sacrifice peace of mind for their students. The students would contact our service department directly with questions, concerns or help with their plan.

Please contact Annemarie Keller for more information about our insurance products or to get a personalized landing page for your school.

Partner Spotlight
Concord University

Why the sudden push for International Students?

Concord University has had a small but diverse international student population for many years. These students have brought a richness in diversity and ideas that have benefited our faculty, staff and students. We are more actively pursuing international students now because we want this enrichment to grow. We love seeing our domestic student’s lives impacted by their encounters with international students. It has also been great to see how our international students learn from our unique local culture and excellent educational experiences.

How many international students do you have now?

We currently have around 86 international students from 22 countries.

What are your short term and or long term international enrollment goals?

Our main goal is to grow in our diversity. We have instituted a plan where we are looking to attract students from at least 30 countries with no more than 30 students per country. Our goal is not to have every country represented by 30 students but to grow in a way that maximizes the diversity on campus. We want to see as much of the world represented in Athens, West Virginia as possible.

Why Envisage International?

Envisage helps introduce us to students from around the world. We want to offer our educational opportunities to citizens of as many countries as possible. Because of Envisage International’s reach we have partnered with them to promote Concord to the world.

International Financial Aid

After a successful NAFSA, International Student Loan is excited to announce its partnership with the Institute of International Education (IIE) and GoAbroad.com.

IIE's funding website, Funding US Study, now provides international students with the ability to review all financial aid options including loans. Featuring a loan comparison tool for inbound students, we look forward to working together to provide even more resources for the world’s largest and most experienced international education and training organization.

That's not all; we are also excited about our newest partnership with GoAbroad.com which now features loans for study abroad students. With a comparison tool optimized for US students studying abroad, students can compare terms and apply for a private student loan easily online.

We, here at International Student Loan, welcome our new partners and look forward to working together to bring this important resource to students so that they can finance an education overseas.

If you are interested in partnering with us, you can contact Jennifer Frankel directly for more information about our loan tool and how we can work together to provide financial solutions to your students.
