Envisage International Newsletter

Welcome to the 13th issue of the Envisage International Newsletter. As the new school year is well underway, we are now focusing on our busy travel season. We just wrapped up WYSTC in San Diego and NACAC in Denver. We can now shift focus and kick off our NAFSA Regional tour, beginning next week in San Juan, Puerto Rico. It took a lot of effort, but for the first year ever, Envisage International will be at every NAFSA Regional conference! We look forward to seeing many of you there.

In this issue, we welcome aboard IELTS, highlight our NAFSA regional conference presentations and discuss study abroad loans and insurance for scholars.

Best Regards

This Month’s Highlights
Welcome to our New Partner!

IELTS is accepted at over 3000 US institutions in the USA and expanding fast, with over 1.7 million tests taken across the globe last year alone. IELTS is looking to grow their presence in the US market in an effort to reach more students and test takers as well as expand the number of schools that accept the IELTS as proof of English proficiency.

In the coming months, we will be integrating IELTS into InternationalStudent.com and ESLdirectory.com in an effort to promote IELTS testing centers along with their English language test. We are very excited about our new partnership with IELTS and feel it will be a great resource to our community of over 7 million international students that turn to our sites as true resources to help them make critical decisions about studying outside of their home country.

Welcome aboard IELTS!

International Scholars

Each year, thousands of international scholars (visiting researchers, professors and lecturers) and their families are brought in to colleges and universities all over the United States. Health insurance for scholars and their families can be a challenge since they are often times not eligible for student plans, including some school group plans.

Our Atlas Travel plan is an excellent solution for scholars and their families! The plan provides them with flexibility of coverage limits (from $50,000 to $1,000,000) and deductible (from $0 to $2,500) and meets all the requirements set forth for the J-1 visa. The plan can be easily purchased online, with same-day coverage.

If you have any other questions about coverage for your international scholars, please contact Annemarie Keller.

International Student Loans

If you work with study abroad students, you know that affordability continues to be a major problem facing many students who wish to study abroad. Federal grants and loans generally travel with a student overseas, however financial aid may be limited for students who choose a program through an alternative school or third-party provider. Also, students may find that even with this aid, they still have an affordability gap. Whether students are spending a semester or longer overseas, there are funding options even once they have maximized their school and federal aid. If you have students who are looking for ways to help finance their study abroad program, private study abroad loans can help and offer more flexibility. Students can compare lenders and apply for Study Abroad Loans, getting initial approval within weeks.

For more information, contact Jennifer Frankel who is available to answer any questions you have about study abroad loans.
