Envisage International Newsletter

Over the last twelve years, we have been busy building a network of websites dedicated to helping students navigate the international education waters. During this time, Envisage has organically grown a community of over four million students who look to us as a true resource answering important questions like what school to attend, how to pay for it, and much more. We have enjoyed providing students with the information they need to be successful as they study outside their home country. We look forward to continuing these efforts and adapting our technologies as our community and industry continues to grow and evolve.

This month we have some excellent information about SEO and its role in school visibility, highlights from our work/study partner and other highlights from our company.

Sales Tip of the Month?

Students today are not just searching for your school by name - they are looking for the program or courses they want to study. A good Search Engine Optimization (or SEO) strategy is critical to your school’s level of visibility online. At the core of the strategy, it is important to understand your students, what they are looking for and how they are likely to search online. Then you must maintain relevant up-to-date content on your site, and optimize it toward your student population.

Partner Spotlight

HTIR Work-Study, Inc. has been very successful recruiting large numbers of international students for several schools including Sullivan, Coleman and Lincoln Universities. HTIR provides turn-key work study programs for colleges and universities by helping to create creative work/study programs and then marketing these programs to international students. The students earn US wages and gain a competitive edge in the job search with their newly earned US work experience.

We have partnered with HTIR to help them attract students that are interested in their work-study programs. We have sent HTIR thousands of applicants from all over the globe and helped fill seats in the classroom and in the workforce. As a result of our efforts spurring HTIR’s growth, they have recently hired three new employees to help manage the application process and ensure smooth enrollment into their partner institutions.

International Financial Aid

International students planning to complete an American MBA at one of the top 10 business schools can expect to pay on average $105,923 excluding any scholarships or grants.

According to a recent US News report, Prodigy Finance is a successful alternative European loan program designed to target this very problem. Prodigy will be entering the US this June to provide loans to MBA students. Unlike private lenders, Prodigy secures its funding from alumni who in turn disperse loans to current MBA students. Experts believe it's a win-win where alumni invest in their alma matter and get a return on their investment and students are able to secure funding from alternative sources without a US cosigner.

While many US students turn to loans to help cover the expenses of their education, many international student loans require a US cosigner and are therefore much more difficult to secure. Now, there may be some additional help for students having trouble securing a US cosigner.
