International Education News

Who thought we’d all be talking about fake news and alternative facts? Not us, but this month we are - read the blurb below for the latest efforts from Facebook to combat this confounding trend. We also have two insurance related items below, since February marks the time when many schools are planning their international student insurance for the coming academic year. First we offer our excellent group insurance plans for your consideration, and second we offer a (sales-free) best practices guide that walks schools, large and small, through the process of selecting and managing their international student insurance. We’re also happy to introduce a few new faces, and introduce a rebrand involving our flagship site, InternationalStudent.com.

Best Practices - Selecting and Managing International Student Health Insurance

We recognize that choosing and managing insurance for your international students can be a complicated job. We also recognize that there are a lot of variables as you put your plan in place - like should you offer a group plan or individual plans, should it be an ACA plan, should you allow students to waive out of it, which carriers should you consider, how important is the network, etc. - the list goes on and on. Finally, we recognize that we do not offer the best solution for every school and every student - there are many carriers and brokers to consider, and most of them do an excellent job. In short, we want you to do what’s best for your school, regardless of whether that involves us or not. To that end, we have written a comprehensive guide covering everything you need to know about selecting and managing international student health insurance - purely informational, without any sales angle - we want you to get it right:

Rebrand to InternationalStudent.com

Over the next few months, we will be transitioning our marketing and advertising business from our corporate brand, Envisage International, over to InternationalStudent.com. Why you ask? InternationalSudent.com is by far our strongest brand and one of the most recognizable sites in international education. As the go-to resource for students that want to study internationally, InternationalStudent.com reaches about 700,000 visitors each month and generates thousands of leads for our school partners. School partners (like Mississippi State, Felician University and Tidewater Community College) and business partners alike (like CORT Furniture and CampusSims) benefit tremendously from their exposure on this flagship site. With a home on InternationalStudent.com, partners get a lot of traffic from the site alone, and then we can add to that through our monthly newsletters, in our blogs, through email marketing and on our social media channels.

We are excited about the transition and will announce more later this spring. To us, it only makes sense to focus on our strongest brand and bring those benefits to our partners. So look for InternationalStudent.com at NAFSA and other conferences this year. You can see how we can market your school or business in the advertising section on InternationalStudent.com.
